Telecoms Giant, MTN as can be seen from recent events has taken competition to a cannibalistic level with the already popular 'Sakastic' advert on Mobile Number Portability (MNP) featuring Hafeez Oyetoro popularly known as Saka).
The ace comedian and Nollywood actor, who has
become the face of Etisalat for some years now, has switched network
from the GSM company he was known with, to telecom giants MTN.
But MTN had been at the seemingly head-on war with Etisalat even before the advert with a publication in one of the national dailies a week earlier. MTN in a publication on MNP directly insinuated that they are all out to take Etisalat out by poaching on its already fast growing subscribers.
How this ad war will play out? The events within the next couple of days will tell...
