ROMS4 ROM for Galaxy S2 GT-i9100! [Galaxy S4 Theme]

For this week’s ROM of the Week on the Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, check out ROMS4 ROM.
An Android 4.1.2 TouchWiz ROM, the ROMS4 ROM gives you exactly what the name implies, a ROM with Galaxy S4 theme.

It’s a very, light-weight ROM with Galaxy S4 theme including Galaxy S4 white multi-window flashbar, Galaxy S4 icons, S4 weather widget & other S4 widgets, and S Health app. Multi-window has been enabled for all apps.

The ROMS4 ROM ships with Apolo kernel which gives you excellent battery life and swift performance although there is no overclocking. You can use the Apolo Configurator to adjust your CPU and even undervolt to get better battery life.

Although not fully-packed with a gazillion features, the ROMS4 ROM is very simple, lightweight ROM with great performance/battery life while giving you that Galaxy S4 look you are looking for.

For those of you who want to root your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 on Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1 or Android 4.1.2, here’s how to do it easily using a custom kernel.

This rooting process is pretty safe to do, does not erase anything on your phone, it just installs a custom kernel (which comes with a custom recovery) and we root the phone using SU binary and Superuser app. That’s it!

Step 1. Turn your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 off. Then hold down Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 3 seconds until you see the warning screen.

Step 2. Hit Volume Up (you will be in ODIN Download mode) then connect a micro-USB cable from your Galaxy S2 to your computer.

Step 3. Download Jeboo Kernel and ODIN package. Leave the kernel file in .tar format but unzip (Don’t have unzipping program? Download and install 7Zip.) the ODIN zip files.

Step 4. Run ODIN3v1.85.exe by double-clicking on it. If you don’t see a yellow highlighted box with a random COM number, download and install Samsung USB Drivers.
Next, DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE but hit the “PDA” button.

Step 5. Choose the Jeboo kernel .tar file you downloaded earlier.

Step 6. Hit the “Start” button and this will start flashing the kernel. Once it says “PASS!” your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 should reboot.

Step 7. Once rebooted, download Superuser zip file straight to your phone or you can also copy it over from your computer.

Step 8. Turn your phone again then hold down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 20 seconds until your phone reboots into CWM Recovery.

Step 9. Choose “Install Zip”.

Step 10. Choose “Choose zip from Internal sdcard” or “Choose zip from sdcard”. (Depending on where the Superuser zip file is)

Step 11. Find the Superuser zip file, it’s most likely in your download folder.

CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip if your super user zip file.

Step 12. Installing this file installs su binary and Superuser app to your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, giving you full root access.

Reboot and you should find yourself with a SuperSU super user app.

You can download rooted apps like Titanium Backup app and get a super user pop up window when you try to run it for the first time. Congratulations! You’ve rooted your Galaxy S2 GT-i9100!!!

BlackBerry Messenger to hit Android and iOS on June 27

When BlackBerry announced that its Messenger service (BBM) was coming to iOS and Android many people, including me, got very excited, but unfortunately, the company wasn’t ready to announce a release date back then.

Now, almost a month after the Blackberry Live 2013 conference, the company has announced that its BBM service will hit Android and iOS as a standalone app on June 27. Here’s the tweet from BlackBerry Worldwide that shows the app running on an iPhone.

NAMA Grounds Oshiomhole’s Chartered Helicopter Over Aerodrome & Landing Fee

Actress, Ngozi Nwosu, who thankfully has been responding to treatment and actually getting better after she was diagnosed with a kidney and heart related ailment has explained how it all started.

And according to her, her ailment began with the treatment of pile several months back and she had always known she wasn't going to die because she had faith in God.

Ngozi said:

“I haven’t been working for 2years. All this problem started with pile, so for almost a year, I couldn’t do anything. I was battling with just pile until finally I had an operation and just when I was getting myself back, I did one or two jobs before the kidney thing started.

Basically nothing runs through the mind of a sick person than you know you will find health one day. I knew I would not die because really there was a time I felt well, it’s over but at one point in time, I just knew that God loves me and I take each day as I see it and so here I am. Everything has to do with faith.

On when she would return to acting, the actress said she would be returning to the UK for her treatment which is still ongoing, thus, she would return only when she is as fit as fiddle.

“I’m going back to the UK because I’m not through with my treatment yet, I’m still getting my treatment. Even if I’ve been having the urge to work, I can’t deceive myself because I know I can’t work now, I have to be fit before I can work….” she rounded off.
